Why am I seeing a message to call my bank?

To set up Google Pay you need to have registered phone number in Citadele bank. If you have not registered, you will need to call us to set it up. You will be asked to verify your identity before we can set this up for you. You may also be asked to contact the bank if there is an error when attempting to enrol your card in Google Pay.

You can also not register your phone in the bank and ask the call center to confirm the addition of the card to Google Pay, using the call center as a verification method.
